You Probably Wouldn't Have Noticed This About Phoebe's Brother on "Friends"

If you are a fan of Friends then you would definitely remember Frank Jr., Phoebe's brother whose triplets she gives birth to... via surrogacy of course. 

This oddball of a character first made an appearance in the fifth episode of Season 3, well that's what we thought.

Thanks to observant Friends fans, we now know that's not true, as the actor that plays him, Giovanni Ribisi, actually made an appearance long before that. And not as Frank Jr.

In the sixth episode of Season 2, Phoebe is busking out on the street. A guy walking by drops a condom in her guitar case, then comes back to retrieve it becomes it's "kind of an emergency." And THAT'S HIM!

Is this condom meant to subtly foreshadow that he's her long-lost brother, or alternatively make the point that you never know who you'll run into on the street??

But it's a no to both of these theories, as Betsy Borns, one of Friend's writers, told Refinery 29.

"He was an actor that was used by the executive producers before. They liked him, so they decided to use him more because they liked working with him."

Well that's that then isn't it?
