This week on Locals Only Tom dove head first into the world of New Zealand pop and had a chat to Thomston, who's currently recording his sophomore album in a sea side Mexican town.

A short time before the interview he was recording in L.A. when a culmination of the racial tensions in America and the COVID 19 pandemic forced him to make a difficult decision to move to Mexico to finish the album.

Despite turbulent times Thomston gave a great interview and spoke articulately on both topics, shattering the myth that all pop singers do is "sing and dance around on stage."
