Thomston - Lightweight

After spending time working on music in L.A, Thomston is back on Local's Only with his brand new single 'Lightweight'.

Thomston says “Lightweight is about meeting someone you go the extra mile to impress even if it means being self-destructive. someone you want a little more confidence around. someone who makes you almost forget you’re horribly allergic to alcohol.” 

Over the past few years, he’s walked and carved his own path, establishing himself as more than an internet favourite and furthering the Kiwis impeccable reputation for left-centred pop music.

In 2018, he introduced fans to a more fearless side of himself as an artist. The first taste of this, Acid Rain, was the sounds of him “letting go” with a soaring chorus over some of his most minimal production to date. The next was The Heights similarly liberating, an elevating, weightless pop song that came after a “dark period”.

We can't wait to see where he goes next.
