Try talk about something else this week - we dare ya!
It was without a doubt the biggest moment in recent Oscar history, if not ever, but according to a pretty reliable source, it can now be swept under the rug.
Sean "P-Diddy" Combs, who went on to present the very next award after the incident, has gone on record and said the incident is now over and they have both moved on.
Diddy told Page Six at the Vanity Fair after-party, "That's not a problem. That's over. I can confirm that. It's all love. They're brothers."
After the infamous slap, Will Smith went on to accept one of the big awards of the night, Best Actor and apologised to the Academy for what had taken place. Albeit extremely awkwardly.
“I want to apologize to the Academy. I want to apologize to all of my fellow nominees. This is a beautiful moment, and I’m not crying for winning an award,” Smith said. “It’s not about winning an award for me; it’s about being able to shine a light on all of the people.”
Since then Smith has also taken to social media to apologise to Chris Rock individually as well as the Academy.
There has been no rebuttal from Chris Rock yet, apart from a small acknowledgement at one of his stand-up shows, but if this is true, we're glad the two Hollywood heavyweights have made up.
