Sounds like Jughead is ready to hang up his signature beanie!
In a new interview with GQ Magazine, Riverdale's Cole Sprouse shared that he and his fellow castmates are ready for the show to end.
The actor who plays Jughead revealed that after six seasons of the show, he and "most" of the cast are ready to "wrap it up with a bow." Since it premiered in 2017, we've seen Jughead, Archie (played by NZ's own KJ Apa), Betty, Veronica, Cheryl and the rest of the crew encounter wild story lines. Everything from cults, and a deadly board game to an alternate universe.
It has definitely taken a major turn from the first season where the town of Riverdale was more of a small town with a few sinister secrets and less of a the main character now has superpowers and fights bears.
And the fans kind of think it is getting a bit too ridiculous too...
Cole also revealed that the cast doesn't have a lot of input as to what goes down on set, saying, “I actually have no creative control. We show up, receive the scripts often the day of, and we're asked to shoot.”
Sounds like it could be only a matter of time before the show wraps up for good. And that may just be a good thing before they all turn into Avengers or something...
