This is crazy. A very successful (yet annoying as hell) prank!!
In Minnesota a man called Burger King and claimed to be from the fire department. He said there was explosive gas inside the building. He then said the only way to get rid of it is to smash all the windows in the building. So that's what staff did.
Police later arrived on the scene to find staff still trying to smash windows.
"The manager was frantic and actually believed the building was going to blow," Sergeant Rick Boone told local newspaper Star Tribune.
The caller "said there were dangerous levels of gas in the building and [that staff] had to break out all the windows to keep the building from blowing up," Boone added.
The employees were using tire irons from their cars to smash the windows in a panic.Â
Talking to CNN, Captain Tom Hawley said: "About 20 windows were busted out... He [the caller] was very convincing. He seemed to have knowledge of fire suppression systems and acted like he was monitoring the building remotely."Â
