When you use a public bathroom, you probably see those little door hooks, or even use them to hang your bag while you whizz.

But police have warned public bathroom goers, women in particular, to keep an eye out for certain hooks that could be used to spy on unsuspecting urinaters. The hook in question is a plastic stick-on device that resembles a standard hanger, however, there is one difference; The spying hooks contain a tiny camera and a memory card that will record the victim without raising suspicion.

Private Investigator, Carrie Kerskie shed light on how perverts are using the device. “The battery life for these coat hooks, is two hours. Then, you just take it out, pop it in the computer, and you have all your images. It’s real simple and easy. They just walk in, hang it up, walk out, go back a few hours later and take it off.”

The hooks are widely available online, costing under $20 each.
