KFC has launched their first range of plant-based fried chicken!

Vegans and Vego's, you may be in luck!

KFC in the US has announced the addition of their first-ever plant-based fried chicken, coated in the Colonel's secret recipe. 

The meat alternative was first tested amongst KFC customers over two years ago by Kentucky Fried Chicken and Beyond Meat in the United States. 

Starting today, KFC restaurants across America will sell the temporary addition to the menu, which will be available while supplies last.

"The mission from day one was simple – make the world-famous Kentucky Fried Chicken from plants," said Kevin Hochman, president, KFC US in a news release.

At the moment there is no sign of the product in Aotearoa, but we have no doubt that it'll be on its way to our shores soon.
