Love Island Australia's Jess and Aaron have officially split after leaving the villa

Warning! This contains spoilers... Love Island spoilers, and also spoilers about your future because love is obviously fake. 

Love Island has us once again questioning if true love really exists... After making the final of Love Island Australia, news has broken that Jess Velkovski and Aaron Waters have split. 

The two were the first couple in the villa to become exclusive with each other, but it seems there was an argument thereafter that they couldn't quite work through.

'I obviously have a lot of respect for Aaron and there's no bad blood between us. I wish him all the best in the future. It's sad it didn't work out but I think it's for the best for both of us,' Jess told 9Entertainment.

Aaron added: 'I don't have any bad intentions towards Jess or anything. I wish her all the best and hope the best for her future but unfortunately it didn't work out between us.'

'We still had issues seeing eye to eye on a situation in the Villa. I wanted to move past it, and at least thought we could grow from it, but there was no real growth there, so I just felt like it was best to part ways,' Aaron said.

Jess and Aaron took out third place in Love Island Australia, losing out to eventual winners Mitch and Tina and Chris Graudins (aka Hans) and Zoe Clish who placed second.
