Love Island UK's Demi Jones has announced she's cancer free!

Demi Jones, Remember her from season six of Love Island UK? 

Well, she's given us some great news to start the week announcing that she is officially cancer-free.

In May this year, the 22-year-old was devastatingly diagnosed with Thyroid cancer after discovering a lump in her throat.

After treatment for the past 7 months, Demi took to Instagram to announce her news posting a photo outside Queen Alexander Hospital in Portsmouth. 

"I’M CANCER FREE!!!! I did it!

"I got my full body scan results back and there’s not a single cancer cell left in my body."

Demi went on to reflect on how tough it has been for her during her battle with cancer, as she continued:

"It’s been such a difficult year mentally and physically for me with my surgeries and treatment but I’m beyond grateful for everyone’s kindness and support over this past year."

In the 2020 version of Love Island UK, Jones and her partner Luke Mabbott finished in third place.
