Marlon Williams guest judge for Play It Strange

Play It Strange announced kiwi music royalty Marlon Williams would be joining founder Mike Chunn as the guest judge for the 2024 year 9 – 11 songwriting competition sponsored by Youthtown 💛

Marlon is excited to be on board for the Year 9 - 11 comp and says: “I love the kaupapa of Play It Strange it's so important to support up and coming musicians in the industry. I can't wait to hear their songs."

Mike is excited to have Marlon onboard as a judge for 2024 Mike Says: "Marlon’s local and international success is inspiring to the next generation of Kiwi songwriters, and we are both looking forward to listening to all of the incredible entries.”

Marlon brings a wealth of musical knowledge which the winner of the year 9 - 11 Songwriting Competition will be able to experience firsthand. The winner will receive a one-on-one mentoring session as part of the prize for this year’s competition.

They will also receive a $500 Rockshop voucher and will have their song recorded at a professional recording studio.
