NZ's getting an Alice in Wonderland interactive experience!

Take a trip down the rabbit hole, because Alice is coming to NZ!

Wellington's Te Papa Museum is getting an interactive experience completely Alice in Wonderland themed.

The exhibit opens on December 7th, and will include all the best spots for a 'gram or two, as well as the experience to feel exactly what Alice went through when she shrunk!

Wonderland explores how this precocious heroine inspired revolutionary filmmaking, from groundbreaking special effects and animation to evocative storytelling and technological development.

Rooms will be filled with projected walls and giant teacups, you'll be able to sip (or spill) the tea, just like Alice did at the Mad Hatters tea party!

"Wonderland will take visitors on Alice's journey through popular culture, demonstrating how artists, filmmakers and fans have returned to her story with the help of screen technologies for more than a century," Te Papa chief executive Geraint Martin said.
