'Plandid' is the new candid Instagram trend

Instagram can be an awesome platform for sharing your adventures, documenting your life, or exhibiting your art, but there are also a lot of pressures to be perfect...but like...naturally.

This is why 'plandids' are sweeping social media.  Plandid of course meaning: Posed Candids.

Although the word is new, there no doubt that this 'trend' has been going on for years; yes they look cute, but it says a lot about how we like to be perceived.

The plandid pics are commonly used by supermodels, and typically involves the subject intentionally looking away from the camera - a technique used in photo-shoot editorials for decades.

It's understandable why this is a common trend by people, if you're lucky enough to have friends who take candid shots of you, they'll undoubtedly shoot you stuffing your face with pizza, or sleeping with a full on double chin with your mouth wide open.
