Snapchat's latest update is an absolute game-changer.

Now we can chat with 15 of our best friends!

Snapchat announced 'Groups' last night, allowing users to send Snaps or start chats with a group of up to 16 people.

Users will see the names of the group's members and clicking on a name will initiate a one-on-one conversation outside the group. If you swipe back, it will return users to the group chat.

"Groups can be created while sending a Snap, or when you're making a new Chat," Team Snap said in a press release Tuesday.

"When your friends are present in a Group Chat, we show their name at the bottom of the Chat. Simply tap their name to start a 1:1 Chat, and then easily return to the Group in one swipe! We call this Quick Chat, and it's the fastest way to keep the conversation going with one friend without spamming the entire Group."

All chats will disappear after 24 hours (so you better be quick with those screenshots)!

The update also adds a Scissors option, where users can cut out part of a Snap to use as a picture, and a Paintbrush, which can turn a snap into art.

To make a group chat:

Tap on “Chat” in the lower left-hand corner of the screen.
Tap the new chat icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen (chat bubble with plus sign)
Tap on all the people you want to add to your group chat – a blue check will appear beside their names. (maximum of 16)
Once you’ve got your group, tap the blue “Chat” button at the bottom

If you tap on the Menu Icon in the upper left-hand corner of the screen, you can:

Leave a Snapchat Group
Edit Group name
Turn notifications on and off
Add more members to the group

Get snapping!!
