The Hilarious New High-Five Selfie Craze

Selfies. They're not just gonna stay as simple selfies...there are selfie sticks, mirror selfies and now this.

The pioneering mind behind this new selfie is North Carolina State University engineer Seth Schneider, who shared his successful selfie on Saturday, the MailOnline reports.

Here he is in all his glory.

Clearly and understandably chuffed at being a trend-setter, Seth wrote, "Today is the proudest day of my life. I successfully took a picture of me high fiving myself."

Now everyone with a smart phone wants a taste of this glory.

Seth later revealed how he was just having a bit of fun while safely shut in for Hurricane Matthew.

For those of you who were wondering if there are any shortcuts to getting a successful selfie high-five photo, he added he took it without the timer on, saying:

"There's no fun in that. With this you gotta push the button and be speedy."
