There's a secret trick for reading Facebook messages without it being ‘seen’

All the apps and stuff we're on make it pretty hard to be off the grid and it's super hard to avoid people you don't wanna chat to. 

Enter things like Facebook messenger and Whatsapp which have those frikin' 'read receipts' and love telling your mate when you've read their message and haven't replied. 

Sometimes you just don't want someone knowing you're awake because you don't want to chat. And you don't wanna chat 'when you get this message' either!

If you have banner notifications turned on, messages will collect on your notifications screen, ready for your sneaky perusal.

But if you have too many messages, they won't all show and you'll be forced to open the application and blow your cover.

We have the solution.

Aeroplane mode. 

Messages sent to your mobile or tablet are pushed from the host websites (Facebook or Whatsapp) to your device without you opening the application.

This means info is stored on your phone and not just in the app. So, if you turn on aeroplane mode and look at the messages, the sender will never know. Hehehehehe. 

"You awake?"

Yes. But you won't know.
