Got your food but need a drop of wine to go with it? Rocked up to a party without something to drink?

Now you'll be able to order alcohol from 30 local bottle stores throughout Auckland- with Christchurch and Wellington launching soon!

From today, Tuesday 23rd, Aucklanders will be the first to try out UberEats brand new feature on the app from 10am.

Simply log onto the app and search in the alcohol category for bottle shops nearby.

Alcohol deliveries will only available between 10am- 10.30pm and bottle shops may have their own delivery times within this time frame.

And there WILL be some rules so everyone is kept safe:

    • There are limits on the amount of alcohol you can order, under the legal requirements.

    • You must verify your age when you sign up for an Uber Eats account, when you’re placing your order and also by presenting a valid form of ID to the delivery person to scan at delivery. No ID- no order!

    • You won’t receive your order if you’re visibly intoxicated. The delivery person will be paid to return it to the store and you’ll receive a refund.

    • You can opt out- for some people alcohol can be a trigger, so you can ask to be excluded from accessing alcohol ordering and from marketing emails.

How good?!
