If you're like us, we've already binge-watched the entire season of Heartstopper on Netflix and we are O B S E S S E D.
So we wanna know if there is going to be a Season 2... because we need it in our lives asap.
Heartstopper dropped on Netflix on April 22, and it hasn't taken long for people to stream the entire eight episodes of the first season. And if you're like us, we did it in one sitting.
The LGBTQ+ teen drama based on the trending graphic novel series sees Charlie Spring and Nick Nelson's love story blossom and has taken the platform and social media by storm, meaning surely another season is in the works?
Although Netflix is yet to confirm an official second season, here are all of the reasons why we think one could be in the works... warning, spoilers ahead!
Season 1 adapted volumes one and two of the Heartstopper novels, so it would only make sense for Season 2 to explore the third volume, right?!
Speaking to Digital Spy, Heartstopper's creator Alice Oseman seems hopeful for a Season 2, revealing a new focus she'd like to take, "If we do get future seasons, I'll definitely want to be bringing in the themes of mental health, because that's something that's really important in the books."
Now the biggest clue... Yaz Finney who plays Elle Argent tweeted the kissing scene between her character and Tao with the caption "Are y'all ready?!" - YES, YUP, YIP we are READY!
Most of the next volume is also set in the city of love, Paris, France, which would make for a dream second season.
Please Netflix give the fans what they want, we need this Elle and Tao kiss!
