The Heartbreaking Moment Twin Holds Hand Of Her Dying Brother in the Womb

A couple who were told the sad news that one of their unborn twin babies wouldn't survive have been left with some comfort. 

Ian and Brittani McIntire were told that their boy had a hole in his heart and his brain wasn't developing properly. 

However, a touching ultrasound showed their severely underweight boy holding hands with his twin sister.

"We didn't really see much, she said there's his hand and there's her hand and it looks like they're holding hands," Brittani told Fox6.

"Most twins, when she's trying to take pictures and stuff, they're kicking each other and hitting each other and she said...it seems like she was very protective over him."

The couple say that the photo has been of great comfort to them.

"We know we have a piece of them together that will last forever... and it's special to have," Ian added.
