Woman Stubs Lit Cigarette Out On Reporter's Face

A woman inexplicably stubbed her cigarette out on a Nine News Reporter's face as she left Caboolture Court on Monday morning.

The woman is said to be a friend of accused murderer, Stevee Lee Kennedy and was present at the court appearance to support her friend.

Video footage shows the journalist, Alex Bernhardt recoiling in horror as the cigaratte was rubbed on her cheek.

Ms Bernhardt told Daily Mail Australia the cigarette left 'a bit of a red mark... but I don't want to blow it out of proportion, it's gone now'.

'It certainly wasn't something I was expecting when you're doing your job'.

She also said the woman had blown smoke at reporters and a male accomplice had also 'barked' like a dog at the media pack.

A Queensland Police spokesman said the alleged attacker, 23, was charged with public nuisance this morning and will appear in court on July 23.
